Because it is necessary to open our minds.
2 days after and this is still one of the topics that people (more or less) have been discussing. I was having dinner with friends and we talked about the documentary that was aired last Sunday. It was a good topic because it allowed us to be open minded.
Watching Cheche Lazaro Presents: Dalawang Mukha ng Hustisya gave us the side of the Webbs. Back when I was a kid all I heard is how most of the people accused Hubert; and how this incident had tarnished their name -- almost making their family a pariah in our country. But after watching that documentary, I believe it had led people to think and to consider the fact that Hubert might not be after all a suspect but rather a victim of false accusations.

Dalawang beses dinaanan ni Jessica si Hubert. Kung talagang magkabarkada at matalik na magkaibigan ang dalawa na yan ang gusto niyang palabasin. Bakit di niya naituro kaagad si Hubert at bagkus ay nilagpasan pa niya ng dalawang beses. Pangalawa, ang mga ebidensya ng depensa ay tuwirang isinaisantabi ng hukom. Isa sa pinakamabigat na ebidensya ay ang sulat na mula sa US state department na nagsasaad at nagpapatibay sa depensa ni Hubert na siya ay nasa USA nuong panahong nangyari ang krimen. Pangatlo. Nuong Senador pa si Freddie Webb, ipinaimbestigahan niya ang 11 Indians na drug lords/ pushers na ipinalay (pinatakas) at naglaho ang mga suspek sa kulungan ng NBI. Naging malaking isyu nuon ang kasong yan at maraming opisyales ng NBI ay nakasuha. Ang tanong, sino ang nag imbestiga sa kaso ng Vizconde massacre sa panig ng NBI nuon? Reason being, that he believes his son is innocent of the crime since there are so many evidences/ proofs that his son is indeed in the USA. - Personally, I believe Webb is innocent. I base this opinion on how Alfaro identified Webb in the court room. Nilagpasan ni Alfaro si Webb! Nilagpasan din yung ibang suspect na binanggit niya sa affidavit niya. -- Ibarra28
- after watching cheche lazaro presents last sunday, i believe that hubert webb is innocent. the only reason why the court didn't admitted the evidence they presented to prove that he is in US during the time of the crime was that no one from the US government would take the witness stand. if someone from US government took the witness stand to authenticate the said documents, then hubert webb would not be languishing in jail right now. Also, seems like he was a victim of politics in NBI. looks like salvador mison is intent on nailing him down to make a name during his time as nbi director. Jessica alfaro can't even identify hubert webb. What touched me most was when former sen. freddie webb was asked if what would be one thing that he regrets in his life.
