Have you watched Mrs. Beth Webb's interview on 24 Oras and TV Patrol yesterday? It seems like she is very emotional on her son's case. Ms. Pinky Webb also show her hard feelings when she already heard the news on her brother, Hubert Webb, about the motion wherein Hubert shall be free against the criminal case of Visconde Massacre because he was in the United States when the case happened.

As I tweeted her last night, I know I have a feeling of deepest sympathy on her mom and her family as well. And I'm wishing to her that Hubert's freedom shall be granted for a long years. Then, I check my TweetDeck and she replied :

MANILA, Philippines - Elizabeth Webb, the mother of convicted rapist and murderer Hubert Webb, denied their family had anything to do with allegations of Lauro Vizconde that a Supreme Court justice is lobbying among peers for the acquittal of Hubert and others convicted of involvement in the Vizconde massare.

However, Mrs. Webb admitted that Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio was a "minor" witness for the defense during the trial of Hubert many years ago.

MANILA, Philippines - Lauro Vizconde's camp believes that the disappearance of what the defense calls potentially exculpatory evidence in the massacre case involving his family is not enough basis to acquit Hubert Webb, one of the principal suspects.

"With due respect to the Webb family, I'm sorry to say that this specimen was not utilized by both parties because the handling, safeguarding, and reliability of the specimen cannot be guaranteed,” Public Attorney’s Office chief Persida Acosta said on ANC's "The Rundown”.

Acosta said the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) did not have any facility then to preserve the specimen taken from Vizconde’s daughter, Carmela.

MANILA, Philippines - Former Senator Freddie Webb is set to ask the Supreme Court (SC) to dismiss criminal charges against his son, Hubert Webb, after the state lost vital evidence which, he said, could prove his son's innocence in a 19-year-old rape-murder.

Speaking to ANC's Top Story, Webb said his lawyers will file the motion to dismiss the rape and murder charges against his son after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) lost a semen sample allegedly taken from rape victim, Carmela Vizconde.

MANILA, Philippines - The Supreme Court (SC) has set aside its earlier resolution granting the request of Hubert Webb, one of the principal accused in the killing of Estrellita, Carmela and Anna Marie Jennifer Vizconde, on June 30, 1991, for a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) testing and analysis of the semen specimen taken from the cadaver of Carmela, who was raped prior to her murder.

2 days after and this is still one of the topics that people (more or less) have been discussing. I was having  dinner with friends and we talked about the documentary that was aired last Sunday. It was a good topic because it allowed us to be open minded.

Watching Cheche Lazaro Presents: Dalawang Mukha ng Hustisya gave us the side of the Webbs. Back when I was a kid all I heard is how most of the people accused Hubert; and how this incident had tarnished their name -- almost making their family a pariah in our country. But after watching that documentary, I believe it had led people to think and to consider the fact that Hubert might not be after all a suspect but rather a victim of false accusations.
