78: Opinion: Of the changes to come in ABSCBN news department

This has been a buzz. We've read this from different sites/broadsheet/tabloids and hear people talk about the great changes that will happen in ABSCBN news department as November nears. Some say the changes will occur as Ressa resigns and/or as Willing Willie takes place. Now that Ressa had left, Willing Willie had already started airing, and November is here, the speculation seem to be true or seems to be more or less true.




Rumor has it that changes has already started in TV Patrol and Bandila as they are already repositioning the anchors. Noli De Castro and Korina Sanchez will be replacing Julius Babao and Karen Davila. As to why there will be repositioning of anchors in TV Patrol, some says it's because of rating issues. Apparently, ABSCBN wanted to use big guns to anchor their primetime newscast. Karen and Julius, on the other hand, are going to join Ces Drilon in Bandilla where as Henry Omaga-Diaz will be reassigned (from MNP, exclusive scoop).

We all know that Korina had taken leave as her fiancee-now-husband Mar Roxas ran in the last election for Vice-Presidential race. Speculations says that Korina was not expected to come back until next year but as Ressa left this memorandum was lifted. Korina was originally Ted's partner in defunct Tambalang Failon at Sanchez, which is now Tambalang Failon at Webb. No news/speculations yet if Korina will return to take her place back in TFAS or Pinky will remain as Ted's partner. Korina wouldn't be taking back her position in Tambalang Failon at Sanchez.

Also, due to the changes that will occur in ABSCBN news department, there are speculations that some anchor seems to be contemplating of leaving the network and transferring to TV5. We don't know what's stored in for the achors/newsreporters in ABSCBN and all we have is for us to wait and see.

Heraclitus said that there's nothing permanent in this world except change. Well let's just hope for the best for everybody as this changes come.
